The second phase of a major £140m brownfield regeneration project located to the south of the river Clyde in Glasgow. Working as part of the design team with Urban Union’s development partner, McTaggart Construction and Architects, Anderson Bell Christie, Phase II featured the design and construction of 173 townhouses and apartments, together with associated open spaces and public realm. This phase of the project included the design and implementation of the first part of a new linear community park. The design was developed through extensive consultation and required the resolution of future ownership and maintenance arrangements, as well as the various features to be incorporated into the design. Close liaison with GCC Land Services ultimately guided details of the design to enable future adoption of the new park beyond the initial five-year establishment maintenance period.
