Central Quay Residential Development

The Award-Winning Central Quay PRS (Private Rental Sector) residential scheme in Glasgow is a significant build-to-rent development located between the City Centre and the West End, along the River Clyde. This £100M project, developed by PLATFORM_ , is the first pieces of a wider masterplan which aims to connect the recently derelict Clyde frontage to the West-End of Glasgow and help revitalise the surrounding area. The development consists of four blocks with 498 high-quality apartments, with its tallest tower, at 20 storeys, is now one of the highest buildings in the city.

The development offers a range of modern amenities, including a gym, two roof terraces, a modern landscaped courtyard, a cinema room, lounges, and co-working spaces. Holistically HLA’s landscape design, looks at how this initial regeneration puzzle piece can help pave the way for better urban connectivity and spatial quality. The landscape scheme focuses on creating a connected, vibrant community with outdoor spaces that can cater to both young professionals and families. The urban realm was created using high quality materials and integrating strong pedestrian avenues. The development’s central courtyard located above a car park, offers residents an oasis of tranquillity while the roof terraces offer opportunities for community gardening and dinning while looking out over the Clyde and the rest of Glasgow.

Its strategic location near the Kingston Bridge makes it a key part of the ongoing regeneration of the Clyde Waterfront area, which aims to enhance the urban environment and increase housing availability.
