Background
The development of this new state of the art Centre provided the opportunity to create a new student hub, linking three major buildings together at the east of Cathedral Street within a unified public realm campus.
The design provides a vibrant and contemporary new city space, taking advantage of significant changes in level down to Cathedral Street to create a series of inclusive approaches combining steps and pathways set within a richly planted bank. High quality paving and robust seating and edge elements are integrated with a series of lawns and landscaped spaces featuring native flora, tree and shrub planting, to create a robust and vibrant campus environment.
