Project Period
1993 - 1994
Background
The project involved the re-organisation of the available site to formalise access and car parking for the Church. A careful and logical approach to the proposed layout provided the opportunity to develop a small public space for use by the wider community.
This space was designed to reflect the ecclesiastical setting and was articulated in both the paving and bespoke seating. HLA worked with the Minister and Congregation to finalise the design and establish the text utilised on the seating to create a unique environment appropriate to its context.
B.A.L.I Principal Award for “The Best Hard Landscape Construction Scheme in the UK” in 1994.
