Back to Case Studies

This project involved considerable negotiation with the National Park Authority coupled with a sensitive design approach to establish a mutually acceptable design layout and density for the proposed extension.

HLA produced a number of key supporting studies, including a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment covering winter and summer, and a local Landscape Character Assessment and Capacity Study to support the proposals. Planning Consent was granted in July 2009 and thereafter we were retained to provide further advice relating to a Section 75 Agreement and the production of a Landscape Management Plan for the site.
