Background
The projects included a £3.8M residential unit for twenty complex needs patients at Coathill Hospital, Coatbridge; a £5.2M learning disabilities, 12-bed single storey in-patient assessment and treatment facility at Kirklands Hospital, Bothwell; a £7.1M mental health residential care centre in Hamilton, providing a mixture of complex needs and low-secure beds; and a new £12M local health centre and GP facility in Carluke. Our role included full external works and landscape design for all facilities, including secure garden areas, courtyards and social spaces. Work included participation in user group consultations, DDA compliance audit for externals and contribution to the award of BREEAM Credits.
